We checked on Doug and Linda's wild bees on May 30 and it looks as if there is bad news to report. They swarmed a few weeks ago when the heavy rains began and the remaining bees didn't stand much of a chance. Heavy rain and flooding was nonstop in Texas for several weeks. We saw that their hive is mostly empty, with just a handful of bees remaining. They may have gotten lucky if their queen survived and stayed in place. Now that the weather has improved, maybe they will be able to manage to grow their population.
