Preparing for Bee Arrival

We've been busy the last several weeks collecting our gear and supplies; hive tools, suits, gloves, smoker...

Our bee suits - not sexy at all.  But, we can also
use them as costumes for our next
Halloween party!

Once our bees are placed in their new hives, they will take several days to orient themselves to forage for food.  During this time, we must help to supplement their diet by preparing one gallon of sugar water for each hive.  Each gallon contains 1:1 sugar and water.
